Aircel to cut National Roaming Charges upto 75 per cent from May 1st

Recently Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) issued guidelines for Reducing Roaming charges.

Leading Private Telecom Operator Aircel has decided to reduce National Roaming charges as per directives of TRAI.

Aircel Competent authority has announced from May 1st onwards National Roaming SMS charges to slashed upto 75 per cent.

TRAI has revised incoming call rates from 75ps per minute to 45ps per minute and outgoing calls from Local 0.80ps per minute, for STD Rs.1.15 per minute from current rates of Rs.1 per minute and Rs.1.50 per minute correspondingly.

In addition to the above TRAI also slashed SMS charges upto 75 per cent from current Local Rs.1 and Rs.1.5 STD SMS to Rs.0.25 for Local and Rs.0.38 for STD SMS.

Following Vodafone reducing roaming charges Aircel announced revised roaming charges and remaining telecom operators expected to carry out the same.
