Gilead Sciences has begun efforts to make the newest form of emergency treatment for coronavirus patients with Remdesivir inhaler.
So far, patients have been given Remdesivir as an injection form. Recently, the company has started testing on the use of this anti-viral drug in the form of covid inhaler.
The company itself has revealed this and around 60 people aged 18-45 years were selected for this trial for testing inhaler. Patients do not need to run to hospital if the trial is successful and the inhaler is available.
The new drug will be delivered to the patient with the help of a nebulizer. The company hopes that by doing so, the patient will be able to heal on the infected side.
In India, the government has given the green signal for the recently administered Remdesivir injections to patients.
