The Telangana government has decided to increase Guest lecturer salary in the state from Rs 300 to Rs 390 per hour. Secretary of State for Finance Ronald Ross issued orders with immediate effect. 

Provide the opportunity to teach 72 hours per month, with a monthly salary of Rs. Jivolo said 72 hours of teaching per month should be provided and the monthly salary should be limited to Rs 28,080. 

Guest lecturer salary
There are about 2,000 guest lecturers in 405 government junior colleges across the state. Damera Prabhakar, state president of the Government Junior Colleges Guest Lecturers' Association, and Darla Bhaskar, general secretary, were among those who applauded the decision.

The Inter-Educational Protection Committee has warned that contract teachers in junior art schools in the state should be regularized and if the list is not sent to the government by the 12th of this month, they will raise concerns on the same day. 

Macharla Ramakrishna Gowd, convener of the Inter-Educational Protection Committee, Mylaram Jangayya, coordinator, and Koppishetti Suresh, coordinator of the Contract Employees' Regulatory Tools Committee, submitted a petition to the government to this effect.
