Ind Vs WI 2022: BCCI announces Shikhar Dhawan ODI team captain for series against West Indies
India Tour of West Indies 2022: The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the squad for the ODI series against West Indies. To this extent, the details of the team that will face the West Indies in the three-match series have been revealed. The 16-member squad was announced on Wednesday.
Veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan was chosen as the captain for this series by the selectors. Ravindra Jadeja got the chance to be vice captain. Similarly, Deepak Hooda, who impressed in the T20 series with Ireland, was selected for ODIs against West Indies. Sanju Samson also got a place in Team India once again. Young bowler Arshdeep Singh also got a chance.
The series between Team India and West Indies will begin on July 22 with the first ODI. Meanwhile, it is known that Shikhar Dhawan was the captain of Team India in the series against Sri Lanka in the past.
