For 5G launch in India, the Center has given the green signal for the 5G spectrum auction. The spectrum auction, to be held on July 26, will involve bidding for 72GHz 5G spectrum to telecom companies for a period of 20 years.
With this, several reports have come to light that 5G networks will be available within this year. If that happened then 5G services would be 10 times faster than 4G.
5G Technology in India and 5G tariff plans
The telecom sector 5G spectrum will be auctioned at (low) (600 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz) while the mid (3300 MHz) will be high (26 GHz). If we want to have 5G network in India available, it is enough to have mid and high frequency bands.

The initial 5G network spectrum auction will take place on July 26 in 13 cities. These include Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhi Nagar (Gujarat), Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune.
