Ather energy electric scooter, a Bangalore-based electric vehicle startup, has achieved bumper sales. In May 2022, it sold 3,787 electric scooters in India.
To this extent the company has disclosed sales details. Although sales are disappointing compared to last year, it is noteworthy that this year recorded the highest monthly sales in the last month.
However, in April 2022, Ather's sales grew by just 0.21 per cent compared to 3,779 units. The 450X and 450 Plus scooters have been well received, said Ravneet S. Fokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy.
He also said that he was happy to raise $ 128 million through the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund with the iconic company Hero MotoCorp.
It has partnered with Magenta to set up EV charging grids across the country. It currently has over 330 fast charging ether grid points installed in 35 cities. It plans to install 5,000 points in the next three years.
