Kia ev6 electric car launch in India: Automaker Kia India has recently entered the domestic electric car (EV) market unveiled the EV6 electric car.
It is available in two variants. Price range Rs. 59.95 lakhs - Rs. 64.95 lakhs (ex-showroom). These vehicles are available for sale at 15 dealers in 12 cities. Dealerships also have 150 kilowatt fast chargers.
Kia India MD Tae-Jin Park said bookings for the EV6 model have already reached 355.
This vehicle can travel up to 528 km on a single charge.
With a 350 kWh (kilowatt hour) charger, you can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, Park explained. Features include all-wheel drive, sunroof, and multiple drive modes, depending on the variant.
Tae-jin Park said it would invest more in the electric vehicle segment. The company's parent company Kia Corporation has already announced that it will invest $ 22.22 billion in business over the next five years. Park said part of this will be used to set up infrastructure in India and to make locally suitable products. He said that the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), which is specially made for the Indian market, will be launched by 2025.
Charging infrastructure is crucial.
Park said the government is taking appropriate steps to increase the use of these Kia electric cars. However, he said measures such as improving the charging infrastructure and providing more incentives by the government for personal vehicles could help make electric vehicles more popular domestically.
He said that if the battery cell manufacturing started locally, the EVs would get more impetus. Park said the use of electric vehicles could grow exponentially by 2025, supported by positive government policies and changes in consumer thinking.
