The RTC has decided to impose a diesel cess per kilometer. Diesel cess will be levied on all types of buses depending on the distance from 09-06-2022.
The RTC exempted GHMC from the fare hike, which brought slabs without burdening short-distance commuters.
Diesel cess on Palle Velugu, Express and Deluxe buses has been fixed at Rs. 5/- RTC Chairman Bajireddy Govardhan and MD Sajjanar announced that the diesel cess would have to be increased under mandatory conditions.
The revised fares and bus pass charges will come into effect from the first bus departure on 09-06-2022, the management said. It was clarified that revised fares will not be levied on passengers who have reserved tickets in advance.
